What We Beleive
We align with the Southern Baptist Convention Articles of Faith of the Baptist Faith and Message (2000). Please refer to their document for more details.

1. Triune God
We believe in one true God who exists eternally in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. They are equal in every divine perfection while displaying submission in divine function and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence and redemption.
Scripture: Genesis 1:1, 26; Matthew 28:19; John 1:1, 3; John 4:24; Romans 1:19, 20; Ephesians 4:5-6

God the Father
We believe in God the Father, who lovingly rules over all creation. He is all-powerful, all-knowing, and cares deeply for His people.
Scripture: Genesis 1:1; Psalm 103:19; John 3:16
God the Son (Jesus Christ)
We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal, visible return to earth.
Scripture: Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:26-38; John 1:1, 20:28; Romans 9:5, 8:46; 2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:21-23; John 20:30, 31; Matthew 20:28; Ephesians 1:4; Acts 1:11; Romans 5:6-8; 6:9, 10; Hebrews 7:25; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Timothy 3:16]
God the Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, who lives in believers, guiding, comforting, and empowering them to live for God.
Scripture: John 14:16–17; Acts 1:8; Galatians 5:22–23

2. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible is the word of God, written by human authors under the authority of the Holy Spirit and is completely true and trustworthy. It teaches us how to know God and live for Him, and it is our final authority in all matters of faith and life. All scripture is a testimony to Christ, who is Himself the focus of divine revelation.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21; Psalm 19:7–11; Psalm 119:105,160; Proverbs 30:5

3. Salvation
We believe salvation is a gift from God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It includes forgiveness of sin, new life, and a restored relationship with God. God’s grace saves and keeps believers. Those who truly trust in Christ will remain in Him forever.
Scripture: Ephesians 2:8–9; John 3:16; Romans 5:8 Romans 8:28–30; Philippians 1:6; John 10:28–29

4. Ordinances of the Church

Baptism
We believe that baptism is an act of obedience showing faith in Christ, symbolizing His death and resurrection. We practice baptism by immersion and only baptize professing believers in Christ. Baptism is symbolic of the following things: Christ’s death and resurrection, the Christian’s union with Christ, the new life that a Christian now walks in, and how the Christian is now cleansed and washed away of sin.
Scripture: Matthew 3:16, Acts 8:37-38
The Lord’s Supper (Communion)
We believe that the Lord’s supper is a time to remember Jesus’ sacrifice. We believe that the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for commemoration of His death and is to be partaken of only by believers. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Scripture: Matthew 28:19–20; Romans 6:3–4; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26; Exodus 20:14; Matthew 19:4; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Ephesians 5:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4

5. Humanity
We believe all people are created in God’s image and have great value. However, all have sinned and are separated from God, needing His forgiveness and salvation.

Value of People
We value people of every nationality and at every stage of life, from conception to natural death, seeking to show the love of Christ in every possible way.
Scripture: Genesis 1:26–27; Romans 3:23; Romans 6:23; 1 Corinthians 9:22, Galatians 3:26-28; John 3:16
Sexuality
We believe that God created only two genders – male and female – and that we are assigned that gender by Him. We believe that God’s Word requires chastity for unmarried people and faithful monogamy between a married man and woman.
Scripture: Exodus 20:14; Matthew 19:4; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Ephesians 5:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:3-4
