9:00 Contemporary Worship: Upbeat praise music and a casual atmosphere

10:15 Fellowship at Upper Grounds Cafe: Everyone is welcomed to enjoy gourmet beverages and tasty pastries at an all-church gathering

11:00 Blended Worship: A mix of praise songs and hymns in a more traditional atmosphere

Getting Involved:

Our long-standing worship and arts ministry seeks to glorify God through voice, instrument and drama. With a rich tradition of professionalism, our various choirs, ensembles and bands provide a place for First Baptist's musicians and actors to use their talents and express their praise.

To see a rehearsal schedule for our ensembles, contact Pastor Curt, interim worship pastor. Currently, the ministry consists of the following groups:

Worship Choir
This choir leads the praise during our Blended Service on Sundays at 11 a.m. Repertoire includes classical choral music and contemporary praise arrangements.

Church Orchestra
This ensemble includes brass, woodwinds and percussion and accompanies the congregation during the Blended Service at 11 a.m. on Sundays. Repertoire includes hymns and praise choruses arranged for orchestra.

Contemporary Praise Band
This band incorporates a small vocal ensemble and modern instrumentation, including drums, keyboard and guitars. This group leads music during the 9 a.m. Contemporary Service and repertoire includes modern praise and worship music.

Glory Choir
This choir meets midweek and performs on special occasions. Comprised primarily of senior adults, this group's repertoire focuses on traditional hymns.

Drama Team
The drama team presents short, humorous sketches to illustrate Christian truths. The team performs on select Sundays. For more information, e-mail Drama Team Coordinator Yvette Rindels.
