Connecting with a small group is a great way to build relationships within First Baptist. The following groups meet off campus throughout the week.

Beginning May-July 2010 we have a new quarter of Small Group curriculum.

Nevada City Mixed Group – Meets on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. Host: Bob & Cindy McKinney. Leader: Aaron Tonissen. Current Study Description: Would you like to strengthen your marriage?  Join other couples in the “FIREPROOF” study that integrates key Scriptures, movie clips, devotionals and thought-provoking discussion questions in a fun atmosphere!

Grass Valley Mixed Group – Meets on Monday night at 6:30 PM. Host: Jeff & Susan Evans. Leader: Larry Click.  Group comprises adults of all ages. Current Study Description:
"Just Walk Across the Room" is a four part study by Willow Creek Church's Pastor Bill Hybels about a simple approach to personal evangelism.   "The Book of James" is a verse by verse study by Saddleback Church's Pastor Rick Warren."

Alta Sierra Mixed Group – Meets on Monday night at 6:00 PM; Host: Varies. Leader: Sharon Williams. Description: Group comprises adults of all ages. Current Study Description: Join in a study of 1 Peter confronting the tendency we have of feeling defeated over our problems and find encouraging solutions even in the most trying times.  Then, as we explore 2 Peter, learn how to not be led astray by false teaching and stand strong by continually growing in the faith... 

Grass Valley Mixed Group – Meets on Tuesday night at 6:30 PM; hosted at First Baptist Church, Grass Valley. Leader: Pastor Adam Click. Description: Group consists of young couples. Current Study Description: Join us as we journey into the disciplines of Christ.  We will experience life in Christ as we put into practice the disciplines of Bible reading, prayer, fellowship, ministering, witnessing and more.  See growth in your life that only God can bring.

Alta Sierra Small Group--Meets Monday Nights at 6:30 PM Host & Leaders: Pastor Mark & Yvette Rindels. Current Study Description: Join in an exciting study of 1 Peter tracking with Pastor’s sermon series titled “Standing Tall in Tough Times.”  Confront the tendency we have of feeling defeated over our problems and find encouraging solutions even in the most trying circumstances. 

Penn Valley Small Group--Meets Monday Nights at 6:30 PM Hosts: Jeff & Paula Hunter. Leader: Michelle Rindels. Current Study Description: "The Case For Christ." Have you ever heard Scripture's truths but wondered where to find those truths in the Scriptures? Or have you ever wondered where to find evidence for belief in God in the Bible? You're not alone. Millions of people have asked these same questions, including Lee Strobel - an atheist who engaged in a thorough search for the truth to decide for himself if Jesus was who he claimed to be.
